VISION
CCRHSD ENVISIONS a society where people have access to information and the resources they need to attain good health, sustainable livelihood and all social services.
MISSION
Empower the poor and marginalized of all ages and social class to attain full potential through informed decision making, demand for basic social needs for health and total wellbeing. Developing a crop of health and social professionals that are reachable and useful to the development of the rural community and society at large.

CORE MANDATE
CCRHSD focuses on HIV prevention, care and support services, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC), Maternal and Child Health (MCH), Food Security and Livelihood, Humanitarian aids, protection and human rights, health promotion and disease prevention generally.

Under the Renewed Women’s Voice and Leadership (RWVL) Nigeria Project, CCRHSD distributed VSLA materials to established Village Savings and Loan Association (VSLA) groups in Abagena IDP Camp. The materials will support effective group management, record keeping, savings, and access to small loans, helping women strengthen their financial resilience and build greater economic independence. World Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026
CCRHSD Commemorates World Menstrual Hygiene Day with an In-School Sensitization for Girls In commemoration of World Menstrual Hygiene Day, CCRHSD in collaboration with BENGONET organized an in-school sensitization session aimed at empowering school children with accurate knowledge about puberty, menstruation, and menstrual hygiene management. "Menstruation tells a beautiful story of growth and development" says Mrs Ene during her session. The interactive session provided a safe space for learners to discuss changes associated with puberty and gain a better understanding of menstruation. Participants were educated on the importance of maintaining proper hygiene during menstruation and were practically guided on the correct use of sanitary pads. The sensitization also addressed common myths and misconceptions surrounding menstruation, helping to reduce stigma and build confidence among the students. To support menstrual health and dignity, sanitary pads and other essential hygiene items were distributed to the children. MEETING NEEDS AND SAVING LIVES THROUGH A COST-EFFECTIVE VACCINATION REMINDER PROGRAM FOR CAREGIVERS OF CHILDREN ON ROUTINE IMMUNIZATION!
Every child deserves a healthy start, but in the bustle of daily life, keeping track of complex immunization schedules can be a challenge. According to the 2021 Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys (MICS), about 50% of caregivers attribute missed vaccinations to a lack of knowledge or simply forgetting the immunization schedule. Additional barriers including security challenges, long distances to health facilities, transportation costs, and persistent myths and beliefs about immunization further limit timely completion of childhood vaccines. The Centre for Community Resource, Health and Social Development (CCRHSD) in partnership with Notify Health is bridging this gap through the Vaccination Reminder Program to strengthen immunization follow-up systems across health facilities in Benue State. So far, caregivers of over 1,500 children have been reached. This vital intervention ensures children receive their routine immunizations on time, and this marks an important step toward improving immunization adherence, reducing dropouts, and ensuring more children complete their life-saving vaccines on schedule.
