World Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026

CCRHSD Commemorates World Menstrual Hygiene Day with an In-School Sensitization for Girls In commemoration of World Menstrual Hygiene Day, CCRHSD in collaboration with BENGONET organized an in-school sensitization session aimed at empowering school children with accurate knowledge about puberty, menstruation, and menstrual hygiene management. "Menstruation tells a beautiful story of growth and development" says Mrs Ene during her session. The interactive session provided a safe space for learners to discuss changes associated with puberty and gain a better understanding of menstruation. Participants were educated on the importance of maintaining proper hygiene during menstruation and were practically guided on the correct use of sanitary pads. The sensitization also addressed common myths and misconceptions surrounding menstruation, helping to reduce stigma and build confidence among the students. To support menstrual health and dignity, sanitary pads and other essential hygiene items were distributed to the children.
