Where we started

started off as EHIKONDU and changed to CCRHSD

CCRHSD started off as EHIKONDU RESOURCES LIMITED, known as “EHIKONDU” and changed its name to CCRHSD in June 2018 to reflect the overall aim: “meeting needs, saving lives”.

CCRHSD ENVISIONS a society where people have access to information and the resources they need to attain good health, sustainable livelihood and all social services.

Empower the poor and marginalized of all ages and social class to attain full potential through informed decision making, demand for basic social needs for health and total wellbeing. Developing a crop of health and social professionals that are reachable and useful to the development of the rural community and society at large.

Recent Projects

PMI-S TO 04 GUC Orientation/Training Stepdown

CCRHSD, a sub-grantee of the PMI-S project, engaged to oversee monitoring of the malaria service delivery, malaria case management, mentoring of facility staff on the project and monitoring commodity utilization in 5 LGAs of Benue State, stepped-down orientation/training for M&E Assistants for the LGAs. It was an event for participants to understand the basic concept of malaria, National guidelines for diagnosis & treatment of malaria, malaria cascade, key malaria indicators and report writing. The 4-day event took place at Doo Palace Hotel, Makurdi.

2024 World Menstrual Hygiene Day

CCRHSD, in collaboration with BENGONET, joined the global community to observe the 2024 World Menstrual Hygiene Day under the theme "Together for a Period-Friendly World." The celebration began with educational sessions for female adolescent students and was expanded and extended to the wider community. Also, Adolescent girls who are CCRHSD’s program participants received further sensitization and were provided with disposable sanitary pads in line with this year's theme.

AGRICULTURAL INPUT EMPOWERMENT FOR HOMESTEAD GARDENING / FARMING & CASH TRANSFER FOR MICRO-BUSINESS ENTERPRISES

With support from APIN Public Health Initiatives Ltd/Gte, CCRHSD provided unconditional cash transferal for micro-business enterprises and also provided agricultural inputs for homestead gardening and farming to selected program participants. This initiative aims to enhance agricultural productivity and subsequently provide food security among farming households participating in the OVC project. This effort is part of CCRHSD's broader household economic strengthening initiatives and was carried out in May 2024.

As part of the  16 days of activism against Gender Based violence, CCRHSD in collaboration with APIN Public Health Initiatives sensitizes the Muslim women community on Early marriage, Education for the Girl Child and Women empowerment. The theme of the year: Unite! Invest to prevent violence against women and girls is geared towards making the world a safe place for all.
